Position: Line Cook job
About: Constellation Culinary Group at The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, NY, is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that align with our commitment to sustainability and culinary excellence. You’ll have the chance to work with fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients, many of which are plant-based, while contributing to menus that elevate dining experiences. Working in a fast-paced kitchen, you’ll need to bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for food preparation.
Requirements: Over 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary school background preferred; Passionate about plant-forward, sustainable cuisine with a strong desire to continue learning and growing in the culinary field; Solid understanding of kitchen operations and high-volume production; Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment; Strong communication and teamwork skills, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere; Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and maintaining an efficient, clean workspace; Able to take direction from the Executive and Sous Chefs while contributing creativity to the kitchen; Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings; Interest in working with seasonal, locally sourced, and sustainable ingredients
