Position: LEAD COOK
About: Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is a 336-bed facility that is part of the six-hospital The Valley Health System in the Las Vegas area. They provide a wide range of medical services and procedures, including comprehensive women’s services for the Northwest Las Vegas area. The Women’s Center offers specialized care for new moms and has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Centennial Hills Hospital has been recognized as a High Performing Hospital for Heart Failure, Stroke, and Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report for 2022-2023.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate from a formal school specializing in institutional cooking preferred. Minimum 2 years experience with commercial cooking or equivalent; Knowledge of ordering and basic inventory processes; Experience with Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT) preferred. Current Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card; Must achieve ServSafe Certification within 90 days of employment. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
