Position: Lead Animal Behavior and Shelter Programs Manager
About: The ASPCA’s Community Medicine team provides expert veterinary care to support the welfare of animals in underserved communities in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. They offer quality services, partially or fully subsidizing the cost of basic and preventive care, all while treating people and pets with dignity and respect.
Requirements: Must have graduated from an accredited school of veterinary science technology (2 or 4-year program) or equivalent; current New York State Veterinary Technician License (or ability to obtain within 30 days); strong interest in animal welfare; excellent animal handling and customer service skills; ability to work standing for 8+ hours; fluent in English. Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred; Fear Free Veterinary certification required within 60 days of hire.
