Position: Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher
About: The Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan is seeking a responsible and dedicated Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher to join our culinary team to assist in the kitchen in preparation of meals for the youth we serve. Overall support is needed in numerous areas of the operations of our culinary team. The individual must be a strong team player and comfortable with a diverse amount of job duties.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in this or a similar role preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to stand for long periods of time and lift to 50 pounds; strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; must be comfortable working in and around kitchen equipment with exposure to hot & cold temperatures, sharp objects, and potentially hazardous chemicals; required to wear protective clothing as needed; must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and be subject to random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing after employment.
