Position: Kitchen Manager job
About: As a key leader of the Prepared Foods Department at Metropolitan Market, this position involves assisting the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader in various aspects such as product management, food safety, quality control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure a profitable and efficient operation. The role also includes educating customers and team members on product selections, recipe ideas, and meal solutions while leading and supervising production team members.
Requirements: Minimum two years of chef, sous chef, or direct kitchen management experience required; one year supervisory experience of five or more employees in a food service environment preferred. Must have a minimum of three years of customer service experience. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, demonstrate self-motivation, effective leadership and problem-solving skills, and strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and inventory control. Excellent merchandising skills, cutlery skills, and culinary knowledge are essential. Effective communication skills, willingness to learn, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality are required.
