Position: Kitchen Manager job
About: Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is seeking energetic, fun, organized, and caring staff to provide memorable experiences to girls in a safe and engaging Summer Camp environment at Lake Rickabear Day Camp. The camp sits on 332 acres of land with a beautiful 40-acre, spring-fed lake, offering activities like swimming, pedal boating, paddle boarding, and row boating. The Kitchen Manager role oversees the food-service operation, including purchasing, preparation, nutrition, service, sanitation, security, customer service, and record keeping under the direction of the Camp Director.
Requirements: Must be 18+ years of age; must be attentive and timely; experience performing administrative tasks strongly preferred; must be able to communicate effectively with staff and partners; hold or be willing to obtain current certification of standard First Aid and CPR and ServSafe (training provided); physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, daily exposure to seasonal weather conditions, and ability to work in a rustic camp environment with limited access to electricity, cell phone service, and internet.
