Position: Kitchen Manager job
About: IHOP is seeking a Kitchen Manager responsible for the preparation and cooking of food products accurately and with minimal waste. The role involves learning and applying specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items, and procedures according to company standards. Kitchen Managers are expected to set up equipment, verify stock, and maintain a clean and sanitary work area while adhering to company sanitation standards. This position requires standing for up to 8 hours during a shift, ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, and full mobility of hands and arms for performing repetitive tasks. Kitchen Managers also perform duties necessary for restaurant operations as assigned by the acting supervisor, following governmental and company policies.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a kitchen management role preferred; ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms; strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
