Position: International Patient Coordinator – Cantonese/ Mandarin
About: Join UChicago Medicine, a world-class academic healthcare system, as an International Patient Coordinator fluent in Cantonese/Mandarin within the International Program department. This onsite position requires candidates to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or other discipline; 2 to 4 years of experience in providing patient or international customer service; Verbal fluency in Cantonese/Mandarin and English; Understanding of cultural differences and advocate on behalf of international patients; Refined interpersonal and business etiquette competence; Documented skills in following standardized protocols, service recovery, and teamwork; Excellent communication skills required for delivery of sensitive information; Experience working independently and as a team to analyze and resolve problems; Competency in Microsoft Office; Experience with EPIC and proficiency in medical terminology preferred; Previous experience in a patient-facing role: Either a certified medical interpreter through an agency or have experience in the healthcare industry
