Position: Houseparents, Full-Time – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution in Hershey, PA, is seeking dedicated Houseparents. These Houseparents, who are married couples, play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds on campus. They are responsible for the well-being and guidance of 8-12 students, ensuring a family-like atmosphere while contributing to the students’ educational journey at the school.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth in under-served settings preferred; couples must be legally married for a minimum of two years and both spouses should be 27 years or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and certification to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy must be upheld; no alcohol permitted while on duty; up to three dependent children allowed in the student home; limited pets policy (only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed); integrity and role model behavior expected from staff
