Position: Hotel Event Sales Manager
About: The Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk is seeking a dynamic, creative, and motivated Event Sales Manager to join their vibrant team. With 1003 guestrooms and 115,000 square feet, this opportunity involves capturing local catering business and maximizing banquet space to exceed sales goals. Responsibilities include selling and servicing, conducting hotel tours, and ensuring high levels of service before, during, and after events. This on-site position requires a strong hotel presence.
Requirements: A minimum of 2-3 years of hotel event sales/event planning preferred; Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of hotel and/or food & beverage experience preferred; experience in general computer knowledge and programs; refined verbal and written communication skills; professional appearance and confidence; detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle a fast-paced environment; strong time management and multi-tasking skills; positive leadership qualities inspiring employees to exceed standards; creative development of marketing concepts and events to boost local event sales; negotiation skills and contract interpretation; comprehensive knowledge of hotel operational departments; expertise in maximizing revenue and upselling; adept at managing meeting space for revenue optimization; ability to maintain price integrity and accurate forecasting; adept at prospecting and client engagement.
