Position: Hotel Event Manager
About: Grand Hyatt San Antonio is looking for an Event Manager to join their exciting and fun team. The Event Manager will be responsible for executing sales contracts, working with assigned groups, coordinating onsite experiences, and ensuring guest satisfaction in both Event Sales and Event Planning roles. Duties include detailing events, menu planning, agenda setting, hotel meeting services, contract review, and maintaining high levels of service.
Requirements: A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred; Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of hotel and/or food & beverage experience preferred; Experience in general computer knowledge and programs; Refined verbal and written communication skills; Professional appearance and confidence; Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment; Strong time management and multi-tasking skills under pressure; Positive leadership characteristics to inspire employees; Experience in creative marketing concepts and negotiation of contracts; Comprehensive knowledge of operational hotel departments; Knowledge of meeting room set-ups, sleeping room configurations, and capabilities.
