Position: Head Houseman
About: The Merion is seeking a Head Houseman to manage cleanliness, maintenance, and setup of common areas, dining rooms, and event spaces at the facility. The Head Houseman plays a key role in ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and resident satisfaction while leading and supporting the housekeeping team and fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Requirements: Housekeeping & Maintenance Support: Ensure adherence to Merion standards in cleaning common areas, assist with deep cleaning projects, and respond to housekeeping requests promptly; Leadership & Team Coordination: Supervise and support housekeeping team, train new members, manage supply inventory, and maintain schedules; Event & Room Setup: Arrange furniture for events, meetings, and functions as per specifications, coordinate with relevant departments for event logistics; Safety & Compliance: Ensure tasks comply with regulations, report maintenance issues, follow safety protocols for cleaning chemicals; Qualifications & Skills: Prior housekeeping experience, leadership abilities, organizational skills, ability to lift and move furniture, strong communication and teamwork skills; Schedule & Work Environment: Full-time position with weekend and holiday flexibility, physical activity required, experience in a senior community setting preferred.
