Position: General Manager, Oakland Marriott City Center
About: Marriott International is currently seeking a strategic and experienced Property Leadership Manager for the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, California. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the property operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, and ensuring brand standards are met to exceed guest expectations and drive profitability. This position plays a critical role in building strong relationships with local stakeholders, fostering community engagement, and upholding Marriott brand values in all leadership actions.
Requirements: 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area. OR 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years’ experience in management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area. General Manager experience in limited or full-service property. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and late nights. Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and exceptional performance.
