Position: Food Services Manager I_Residential Services
About: The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is dedicated to providing support and resources to families and individuals as they transition to full-time housing. A vital part of their program involves providing nutritious meals that nourish clients and bring them comfort and joy during their journey towards self-sufficiency. The organization is looking for a Food Service Manager to lead a passionate team committed to creating budget-friendly and appealing meals.
Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. degree or some formal education and certification in the culinary arts and basic food safety practices; degree in culinary arts preferred; two to three years progressively responsible experience in food service management with at least six months experience in a supervisory capacity; familiarity with food safety and preparation regulations, meal planning techniques, budget preparation, and health regulations governing public kitchens; ability to lead, motivate, supervise, and evaluate kitchen personnel
