About: Spring Hill Elementary School is seeking a Food Services Kitchen Manager I to manage the operations of the food services finishing kitchen, responsible for 1-499 meal equivalents with limited food services for other on-site programs. The role involves coordinating with a central food preparation kitchen for receiving prepared food items.
Requirements: Graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate; One (1) year of experience in food services; Fairfax County Sanitation Certification obtained within 45 calendar days of hire; Completion of the Fairfax County Public Schools manager in training program; Must be free of any infectious or communicable disease; Knowledge of institutional food preparation procedures, practices, and equipment; Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff; Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and computerized programs; Effective communication and customer service skills
