Position: Food Service Worker
About: Catholic Charities Peter Claver Community provides permanent placement and comprehensive care to San Francisco residents with disabling HIV/AIDS, very low income, homelessness, and major psychiatric disorders or substance abuse challenges, offering on-site services to minimize the utilization of hospital emergency rooms and other health systems. The Food Service Worker role involves preparing nutritious meals and snacks for Peter Claver clients.
Requirements: Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; experience of two years in food preparation for large groups in a commercial or residential setting, with training in nutrition or food preparation program desirable. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include reading and understanding written instructions and recipes, food handling and preparation safety, sensitivity to the resident population, teamwork, and achievement orientation.
