Position: FOOD SERVICE MANAGER TRAINEE
About: The Milwaukee Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Manager Trainee to work with assigned managers to learn the specifics of the School Kitchen Manager role. This position involves on-the-job training and assumes responsibility for the efficient operation of the school kitchen, with possible short or long-term management duties in the absence of regular managers. Travel between locations may be required. The position does not involve night, weekend, or holiday shifts.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of ServSafe Certification preferred (must obtain within 6 months of employment); ability to lift up to 35 pounds; experience working in a food service or kitchen environment desirable; familiarity with local, state, and federal food preparation regulations; strong organizational and supervisory skills; commitment to quality food service and customer satisfaction
