Position: Fleet Technician III
About: This job is for a Fleet Maintenance Technician at a company providing safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs to prevent breakdowns on roads. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles, addressing driver vehicle inspection report write-ups, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing repairs to manufacturer specifications. The technician needs to mentor and share expertise with junior technicians and may perform moderate supervisory roles. Proficiency in electrical meter testing, controls, electric motors, and welding is required. The job involves physical demands such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and using tools, along with working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; current and valid driver’s license (CDL Preferred, Not Required); medium/heavy-duty truck technical training with 2-year school and 4 years of experience OR 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
