Position: Field Services Manager
About: The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Field Services Manager to support Animal Care Division. The key responsibilities of this position are to oversee all countywide animal care enforcement operations, an provide supervision, technical advice, and assistance to field staff involved in investigations, rabies prevention, animal licensing, humane treatment of animals, regulatory code compliance, and enforcement work.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, public administration or closely related field. (One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education). Requires two (2) years experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing special projects, programs or business operations appropriate to the area of assignment or closely related experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E driver’s license based on area of assignment. Applicants must have the following professional trainings/certifications from Florida Animal Protection and Advocacy Association (FAPAA): -Animal Control Officer Certification, Euthanasia Certification. 1 year experience working with Chameleon. Animal Cruelty Investigator Certification. Chemical Immobilization Certification.
