Position: Farm to School Chef/Culinary Instructor (Intermittent)
About: The Office of Child Nutrition is looking for an intermittent Farm to School Chef/Culinary Instructor. The role involves developing culinary-focused professional development for Child Nutrition food service staff, teaching culinary techniques, methods, and menus featuring harvest of the Month foods. The Instructor will also develop food safety and culinary techniques training virtually and in person, in collaboration with the Department’s Communications team, to create food skills training videos for front-line food service staff.
Requirements: Culinary Degree or relevant experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; a minimum of 3 years of culinary industry experience required; experience teaching adult learners is preferred; experience working in the child nutrition program setting preferred; current Ohio Department of Health Manager Certification in Food Protection; must possess and maintain a current and valid driver’s license and self-report convictions
