Position: Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher – Culinary Arts
About: Lake Taylor High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Full-Time and Permanent Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching various concepts related to work-life balance, household management, and family-related topics to secondary pupils, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning experience in a structured classroom environment at the high school.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and eligible for, or in possession of, appropriate Virginia Teaching Certificate; Tuberculin Skin Test certifying that the individual is free of contagious tuberculosis; Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the subject(s) to be taught; Demonstrates considerable knowledge of effective teaching principles and methodologies; Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and written reports; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with pupils, colleagues, and administrators; Skilled in the use of personal computers and graphing technologies
