Position: Executive Sous Chef | Ken Garff (Utah) University Center Club

About: Oak View Group is looking to hire an Executive Sous Chef to oversee the direction of the kitchen’s daily activities in accordance with OVG policies and objectives, ensuring guest satisfaction, profitability, and a positive work environment. The role involves assisting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations, including food and labor cost controls, event planning support, scheduling, food preparation, and production.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 2-3 years kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue; demonstrated track record of meeting projected costs; technical proficiency in food preparation methods; ability to interact positively with diverse personalities and develop staff effectively; detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize in a changing environment; strong decision-making skills; ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends; professional appearance and presentation; knowledge of computer software (MS Word/Excel/Outlook); current Food Handlers card and alcohol service permit if required; working knowledge of employee scheduling in a hospitality environment; ability to obtain and maintain certification in a nationally recognized sanitation program
