Position: Executive Sous Chef – Dumbo House
About: At Soho House, the Executive Sous Chef is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in planning, organizing, and leading the Kitchen Department according to company policies and state standards. This role requires culinary, leadership, and human resource skills, similar to a Chef de Cuisine (CDC), with the goal of ensuring the Kitchen Department operates efficiently and meets Soho House standards. The ideal candidate should be passionate about food and possess natural leadership qualities.
Requirements: Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a similar volume-based business representing global culture and consistent, approachable, and elevated dishes; Culinary trained and professional with a desire to develop and grow as a Chef; Experienced in managing P&Ls, labor, purchasing, vendors, and quality control; Consistent work history and willingness to support the business operationally as a contributor and leader; Food Serve Safe certification and experience with local sanitation regulations; Strong email etiquette and communication skills; Experience in training and leading teams, large quantity food preparation, and quality food operations; High school diploma or equivalent trade school certification
