Position: Executive Sous Chef | Columbus Georgia Convention
About: Oak View Group is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to oversee the direction of the kitchen’s daily activities, ensuring guest satisfaction, profitability, and a positive work environment. This key role involves assisting the Executive Chef with overall kitchen operations, including food and labor cost controls, event planning support, and maintaining high culinary standards and safety compliance.
Requirements: High proficiency in food preparation methods; ability to interact positively with diverse personalities and effectively communicate; experience in developing and motivating staff; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; self-directed and team-oriented; flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends; 2-3 years of kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue; track record of meeting cost projections; professional appearance and demeanor; knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook; current Food Handlers card and alcohol service permit; familiarity with employee scheduling in a hospitality setting; certification in a nationally recognized sanitation program
