Position: Executive Sous Chef

About: Piper Shores, located on the Scarborough coastline, is Maine’s only nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community offering a range of dining options for residents. The Executive Sous Chef role involves supporting the Executive Chef and kitchen staff in meal preparation and supervision to ensure high-quality dining experiences for residents. This position provides an opportunity for culinary professionals to contribute to Food & Nutrition operations strategically with a focus on work-life balance and professional growth.

Requirements: 5-7 years of culinary experience in a hotel, restaurant, club, or healthcare setting required; fine dining experience preferred; technical culinary education preferred; prior supervisory experience required; ability to collaborate and work independently; sound judgment and critical thinking skills required; knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance; ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic; some knowledge of nutrition and diet in a healthcare setting preferred
