Position: Executive Sous Chef

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree is required; at least 6 years of experience in the culinary field, gastronomy, food and beverage, or related professional area is preferred; or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major. At least 6 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience; knowledge and experience working in Italian restaurant concepts, cooking Italian food as a specialty is required. Proficient knowledge in various aspects of restaurant functions such as cost reduction, food planning, preparation, and delivery; purchasing; sanitation; security; company policies; processes and procedures; development of reports; POS; inventory; personnel management including recruitment, hiring, training and development, and record-keeping. Food and beverage knowledge in upscale concepts, fine dining, or prestige brand restaurants. Experience managing kitchens with high volume production and service, leading and managing pre-opening operations, creating menus and special dishes, managing private events and catering from a culinary perspective, managing kitchen teams with 20-30 employees, and being SERV Safe certified.
