Position: Executive Sous Chef
About: Proper Hospitality, a renowned hotel company, is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join the culinary team at The Shelborne by Proper, a new hotel opening in early 2025. The property will introduce vibrant food and beverage destinations, a signature restaurant, a lobby bar-lounge, and a curated cafe, along with resort amenities including a pool, garden lounge, fitness center, private beach club, and event space.
Requirements: Proven experience in a leadership role within a high-end or luxury hospitality setting; strong background in diverse culinary techniques; knowledge of current culinary trends and a passion for food innovation; excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment; advanced understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations; leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team; degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred
