Position: Executive Sous Chef
About: American Cruise Lines, the largest cruise line in the United States, is looking to add Executive Sous Chefs to their shipboard teams. The shipboard team supports a combined fleet of ships sailing through various itineraries across the nation, offering exceptional cuisine prepared by chefs with extensive culinary credentials and training from prestigious institutes.
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in full-service resort, hotel, or cruise ship; familiar with food safety standards; ability to multi-task, take direction, and be a team player; ability to work with composure under pressure; possess problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organization; ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking recipes and adhere to directions; effective leader with good time management; excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills; able to pass a pre-employment drug test; complete criminal background check; training and teaching experience; ability to work on a rotation of 6 to 8 weeks onboard followed by 1 to 2 weeks off
