Position: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY FOOD CONNECTION
About: The Department of Social Services (DSS) is comprised of the administrative units of the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). HRA is dedicated to fighting poverty and income inequality by providing essential benefits to New Yorkers in need, including Food Assistance and Emergency Rental Assistance. DHS works on preventing and addressing homelessness in NYC. The Community Food Connection (CFC) program aims to address food insecurity and improve the nutritional status of New Yorkers in need by funding community kitchens and food pantries.
Requirements: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of relevant full-time experience; experience in project and policy management.
