Position: Executive Chef job
About: Meriwether Godsey, a catering and dining program at a private independent day school in Richmond, VA, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead and manage a high-volume food production program, special events, and high-end catering. The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary and management skills, a vision for excellence, sustainability knowledge, and a commitment to promoting diversity and women-led initiatives.
Requirements: Associate’s degree or five or more years of related food service experience; 5+ years’ experience in Contract Food Service Operation, High-End Catering Management, High-Volume Dining, and/or Multi-Unit experience required; proficiency in sustainable practices; participative management style and excellent leadership skills; demonstrated experience in talent cultivation and promoting inclusivity; strong communication and presentation skills; account and project management skills; knowledge of food safety (HACCP), sanitation, and workplace safety standards; ability to work collaboratively and foster client and customer relationships; ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification preferred.
