Position: EXECUTIVE CHEF job
About: Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. It aims to establish a robust system of care for all District residents, ensuring access to high-quality care in the community, especially for residents of Wards 7 and 8.
Requirements: Associate’s degree in food service management or culinary services from an accredited college or university, or completion of an accredited culinary training program required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of management experience; Two years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, food courts, etc. Two years as an apprentice under an Executive Chef. Healthcare experience preferred. ServSafe certification and DC Department of Health Food Handler’s license required or must obtain within 3 months of hire. Certified Executive Chef preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and vendors. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, accounting software, timekeeping software, payroll applications, and quantitative/mathematical knowledge. Ability to remain calm under stress and work with confidential information.
