Position: Executive Chef job
About: Meriwether Godsey, a catering and dining services company, is seeking an Executive Chef to lead and manage a high-volume food production program, special events, and high-end catering at a private day school in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary and management skills, a vision for excellence in dining, and a commitment to promoting diversity.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree or five or more years of related food service experience; 5+ years of experience in Contract Food Service Operation, High-End Catering Management, and High-Volume Dining, with Multi-Unit experience; proof of Covid-19 vaccination required; application and promotion of current food trends; proficiency in sustainable practices; participative management style and excellent leadership skills; experience in cultivating talent and promoting an inclusive work environment; strong communication and presentation skills; account and project management skills; knowledge of food safety (HACCP), sanitation, and workplace safety standards; ability to work collaboratively and build strong client and customer relationships; ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification preferred
