Position: Executive Chef job
About: Oak View Group, a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for the live event industry, is seeking an Executive Chef for Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the culinary team and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 years kitchen management experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue; demonstrated track record of meeting projected costs; professional appearance and presentation required; knowledge of computer software including MS Word/Excel/Outlook; current Food Handler’s card and alcohol service permit if required; ability to obtain and maintain certification in a nationally recognized sanitation program; technical proficiency in food preparation methods; strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to develop and motivate staff; detail-oriented and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment; flexible schedule with willingness to work nights, weekends, and long hours
