Position: Executive Chef job
About: The Residence at Westport, located in Westport, CT, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Chef to lead the kitchen operations and staff for the community. The Executive Chef plays a vital role in planning, organizing, and ensuring the highest quality food service for residents, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of culinary policies and procedures. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence in culinary services.
Requirements: Technical Skills: Full knowledge of local and state health and sanitation codes, Serve Safe Certified, proficiency in food handling and kitchen equipment operation, ability to develop menus and maintain high food display standards. Behavioral Skills: Leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, goal setting/implementation, communication, customer service, policies and procedures adherence, relationship management, and team building. Education: Culinary degree and/or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred. Experience: Minimum 5 years of food service management. Certificates/Licenses: Serve Safe Certification. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and be accessible by phone 24/7.
