Position: Executive Chef job
About: Catering by Michaels is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to lead their culinary team. As a key culinary management position, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing a high-volume kitchen, menu development, food safety, and sanitation procedures. This role plays a vital part in driving top-line sales and profitability by ensuring premium customer service and upholding industry standards. The Executive Chef will collaborate with operations and sales managers to deliver exceptional gourmet food in high-volume settings.
Requirements: Advanced culinary degree/certification preferred; minimum 8 years of progressive culinary experience within the hospitality industry; advanced knowledge of F&B preparation, storage, sanitation, and licensing requirements; strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline; proven leadership skills to inspire team members and drive common goals; hands-on management style focusing on day-to-day operations; strong financial management knowledge including P&L, budget management, and financial analysis; ability to identify and resolve issues effectively; fluency in Spanish preferred; strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills; highly motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Galley recipe software desirable
