Position: Executive Chef, Healthcare Culinary Services
About: Sodexo, a leading provider of culinary services prioritizing quality, safety, and operational excellence in healthcare settings, is looking for an Executive Chef for Yale New Haven Hospital, a prominent 1,541-bed facility in New Haven, CT. Yale New Haven Hospital serves as the primary teaching hospital for the Yale Schools of Medicine and Nursing, including specialized units such as the Smilow Cancer Hospital, Children’s Hospital, and Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. The culinary services at Yale New Haven Hospital involve a room service program transitioning to bedside dining and multiple retail dining locations, offering a diverse culinary experience to patients and staff.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; 5 years of leadership experience in healthcare culinary operations; strong knowledge of union environments, preferably with 1199 experience; experience managing multi-level teams including managers and frontline staff; expertise in food safety, quality control, and compliance; proven ability to manage budgets, inventory, and procurement; passion for team development, coaching, and morale-building; ability to commit long-term (5 years) to program growth and evolution
