Position: Executive Chef 2
About: Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 2 for Texas Southern University located in Houston, TX. This position will assist in overseeing food production operations for two dining halls and a very active campus catering department. The Executive Chef will also assist in product purchasing, inventory count and control, as well as hiring, development training in HACCP controls, and shift scheduling for 50-70 hourly employees. The Chef will be expected to assist in developing weekly menu cycles, food preparations for students with special dietary needs, inventory management, and training kitchen staff. Ability to handle multiple priorities and work a flexible schedule is a must.
Requirements: Minimum Education Requirement – Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; Minimum Management Experience – 2 years; Minimum Functional Experience – 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
