Position: Executive Chef 1
About: Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef for the University of Vermont located in Burlington, VT. The Executive Chef position will be supporting a large residential dining hall in menu planning and execution, working with a large staff to deliver a variety of menu formats including vegan, vegetarian, and allergen-safe foods. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Senior Executive Chef and Operations Manager to provide an exceptional dining experience for students.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required; 2 years of basic management experience; 1 year of basic functional experience in food or culinary services; strong culinary background with knowledge of current culinary trends; excellent leadership, communication, and management skills; high-volume facility experience; passion for culinary arts and catering; proven ability to lead and engage culinary teams; menu planning expertise; effective communication and relationship-building skills; ability to multitask in a high-standards environment
