Position: Events and Promotions Coordinator

About: Reporting to the Associate Director of Employer Engagement and in constant partnership with the staff of Career and Professional Development (CPD), this position serves as the key contact for the oversight of CPD’s events and programs, providing advance coordination of production standards, promotional elements, and organizational logistics. This position will execute high quality events within CPD and while maintaining brand awareness on behalf of the office. This position will also supervise student workers.

Requirements: Typically a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Minimum 4 years administrative support experience; Two-year experience working in event/program management, promotions, public relations, social media management, publicity, brand strategy student services, brand strategy, or equivalent; Demonstrated working knowledge of a broad range of event planning, quality assurance, production, and event/program management best practices; Established computer competency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Hootsuite, Wufoo and social media platforms, and the ability to learn new software systems; Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects independently and variety of tasks/details simultaneously; Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; be tactful under pressure; use good judgment; troubleshoot proactively; and work well in teams; Familiarity with academic environments and experiential learning best practices
