Position: Director of Studio Operations & Facilities
About: The Crucible, located in West Oakland, is seeking a Director of Studio Operations & Facilities to lead their arts education nonprofit. The role involves overseeing the studio and facilities, ensuring employee and visitor safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management, while managing a team and coordinating site-related projects under the guidance of the Executive Director.
Requirements: At least four (4) years of relevant work experience managing industrial facilities or departments; at least three (3) years of experience managing direct reports; strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations; experience with regulatory compliance and permits; familiarity with industrial arts fabrication equipment and safety requirements; organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently; proficiency in digital tools and research; self-motivation and adaptability; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; strong personal integrity and credibility; experience with Google Drive and Microsoft Office tools; valid California Driver’s License; completion of California DOJ LiveScan; people-oriented with a commitment to social justice and education; professional maturity and ability to remain composed under stress; energetic, diplomatic, adaptable, and passionate about The Crucible’s mission, vision, and goals.
Benefits: Competitive salary of $83,300 per year
