Position: Director of Operations

Job Overview: Plan and manage two major functions of the hotel (e.g. food & beverage and room operations) to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Position is responsible for short and long term planning and day-to-day operations of two major functions in the hotel. Responsibilities include managing Human Resources, developing and managing budgets and marketing plans, implementing company programs, resolving customer complaints, executing emergency procedures, managing maintenance/sanitation, and assuming General Manager responsibilities in their absence.
Requirements: A four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience; five to ten years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations; advanced knowledge of the hospitality and business management fields; considerable working knowledge of other major areas with the ability to integrate and communicate information; decision-making skills with general policies and procedures guidance; highly developed communication skills for negotiation, persuasion, and influence; excellent speech and written communication abilities; excellent literacy skills for reports, policies, and procedures; physical ability to inspect hotel premises and mobility to navigate front and back areas, including climbing stairs and regular facility inspections.
