Position: Director of Housing Operations
About: Common Wealth Development is seeking a dedicated Director of Housing Operations to oversee and manage over 170 units of housing on Madison’s east and west side. The role involves leading a team of 10+ housing administration and maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with housing programs such as Section 8, Federal HOME, and Section 42 Low-Income Tax Credit, and handling management, maintenance, budgeting, and program planning.
Requirements: Proven experience in housing administration, particularly in affordable housing sectors; At least 2 years of supervisory experience over a staff of 5 or more employees; Strong background in overseeing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to affordable housing programs; Solid financial insight for budgeting and business decisions in facility management; Ability to work dynamically, independently and within a team framework, in a fast-paced environment; Exceptional organizational acumen to handle multiple projects and meet stringent deadlines; Excellent communication skills for drafting reports, handling external and internal communications, and engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant project management software; Must have a reliable vehicle, a clean driving record, and liability insurance
