Position: Director of Finance and Accounting – Fully Remote
About: A growing franchise company is looking for a Director of Finance and Accounting to oversee and manage its accounting and finance operations. This person will be responsible for financial reporting, operational accounting, and financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of broad experience in accounting and finance positions with a proven track record in these areas. This is a fully remote position, but there is a strong preference for candidates who reside in either the Pacific or Mountain US time zones.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA and CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred; 10+ years of combined experience in general ledger accounting and financial planning and analysis, preferably in the retail or restaurant industry; 5+ years of experience in managerial positions in accounting and finance; Previous experience directly supporting owners of growing businesses; Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards, with knowledge of hospitality-specific accounting practices preferred; Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail; Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
