Position: Director (Layover and Palm Motel)
About: Director (The Layover and Palm Motel) position available at The People Concern in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves serving as the primary site leader for two Interim Housing locations and overseeing daily operations, fiscal management, stakeholder liaison, and team leadership responsibilities. The People Concern is a leading provider of evidence-based solutions for homelessness and domestic violence issues in Los Angeles County, formed through a merger of OPCC and Lamp Community in 2016. The organization offers a comprehensive system of care including outreach, interim housing, mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, domestic violence support, life skills programs, and permanent supportive housing.
Requirements: High school diploma required; minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience; minimum two (2) years of experience in case management with the unhoused population; ability to be on-call; demonstrated knowledge of diverse population issues; strong computer skills; proficient in non-violent crisis intervention; self-motivated with strong critical thinking skills; experience in staff development and team leadership; detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills; reliable transportation required.
