Position: DIRECTOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE

About: The director of Food & Beverage position is open at a luxury hotel, overseeing and coordinating all food and beverage operations to ensure high-quality products and service levels are maintained. The role involves promoting business ideas, reducing turnover, managing budgets, and ensuring consistent quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel sales and possess knowledge of F&B preparation techniques and industry regulations.

Requirements: Education & Experience: At least 6 years of progressive hotel sales experience in a specific market; or a 4-year college degree with at least 3 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree with 4 or more years of relevant experience. Must be proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing. Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules, liquor laws, and regulations is required.; Physical Requirements: Long hours may be required at times. Medium work – Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.; Mental Requirements: Clear communication skills, quick decision-making, initiative in job performance, ability to work well under pressure, problem-solving skills, ability to handle complex information and financial data.; Duties & Functions: Supervise F&B personnel, manage guest complaints, prepare F&B budgets, monitor industry trends, coordinate with the executive committee, ensure compliance with regulations, conduct department meetings, oversee menu planning and purchases, train department heads on SOPs, conduct hotel training, participate in hiring for F&B positions.; Marginal: Attend required meetings, perform additional duties as requested by the General Manager, participate in scheduled M.O.D. program.
