Position: Dietary Manager
About: The dietary department manager at an assisted living facility is responsible for overseeing the inventory, menu preparation, food ordering, and kitchen compliance in ensuring the smooth operation of meal services for the residents. This role also involves working closely with staff, residents, and other departments to maintain a high standard of food service and dietary management. The manager reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for various tasks related to dietary services at the facility.
Requirements: College degree or its equivalent; good communication skills; enjoyment in working with geriatric residents; Serv-Safe Certification; completion of the Dietary Manager’s course; training in basic first aid and CPR; ability to read, write, and understand English; good mental and physical health and appearance; alertness in recognizing changes in residents’ conditions; ability to work congenially with others; possess leadership qualities and basic knowledge of dietetic principles; ability to supervise staff and ensure compliance with regulations; clean driving record
