Position: Day Custodian (0.6 FTE) and Elementary Kitchen Manager (0.4 FTE)
About: Salcha Elementary School, part of Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, is seeking candidates for the positions of Day Custodian and Elementary Kitchen Manager. The Day Custodian role involves general cleaning duties, maintenance tasks, and supporting building staff independently. On the other hand, the Elementary Kitchen Manager oversees the operation of nutrition services to provide quality meals to students and staff. These positions offer hourly rates based on experience and work on a full-time basis at the school.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; Working knowledge of minor maintenance processes; Valid State of Alaska driver’s license and access to military bases may be required for some duties (Day Custodian); High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience with commercial kitchen equipment, customer service, food preparation, and supervision; Mathematical skills and ability to maintain confidentiality; ServeSafe certification required; Valid Alaska driver’s license and personal vehicle use (Elementary Kitchen Manager)
