Position: Culinary Specialist

Nutrition Support Services (NSS) within CPS serves over 60 million meals daily to 300,000+ students, focusing on nutritious and appealing meals in a safe and clean environment.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent; Culinary diploma or certificate; Current City of Chicago food service sanitation certificate; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Minimum of seven (7) years of culinary experience required, or a minimum of three (3) years with a bachelor’s degree; Experience in K-12 food service preferred; Knowledge of federal child nutrition programs; Knowledge of current food and beverage trends; Knowledge of large food service operations; Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; Excellent communication and presentation abilities; Ability to work independently and in a team; Proficiency in Google Suite
