Position: Culinary Specialist
About: Sysco, a leading foodservice distribution company, is seeking a Culinary Specialist to join their team. The role involves developing culinary strategies, collaborating with sales teams, managing culinary events, and maintaining relationships with customers and chefs. The Culinary Specialist will also oversee the operations of the test kitchen and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED and 3+ years executive chef experience in the foodservice industry; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent culinary degree, 3+ years of foodservice sales experience; Proficiency in culinary, restaurant operations, and food trends; Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans; Track record of success in consultative selling and networking; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proactive, self-directed, and able to meet deadlines consistently; Strong organizational and project management abilities; Proficiency in Microsoft Applications Suite; Understanding of marketing principles, product lines, and ordering procedures
