Position: Culinary Herons Cook AM
About: The Umstead Hotel, located in an upscale setting, is seeking a Herons Cook to uphold the Executive Chef’s values of quality, sanitation, and fair treatment of associates. The role involves maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace under the guidance of the Chef De Cuisine and Sous Chef Team.
Requirements: High school or equivalent education required; at least 2 years of experience in an upscale hotel, restaurant, and/or country club preferred; ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods during a shift; uphold safety and security measures for guests and associates; well-versed in all aspects of the kitchen, understanding customer perceptions, and working effectively in a culinary team
